Eddie Hearn signs twin boxing brothers destined for great things
Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing has snapped up Welsh amateur standouts and twin brothers, Ioan and Garan Croft, on long-term deals.
Younger by a minute, Ioan scooped a gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games at welterweight after picking up a European Championships bronze earlier in the year.

Garan competed at the same tournaments, one division above, taking home a bronze at the Commonwealths and a silver at the Europeans.
While they are hard to tell apart outside of the ring, inside of it, the differences are clear.
Ioan is a slick southpaw counter-puncher, while Garan boxes out of the orthodox stance and tends to force the action on the front foot.
Both boast perfect 5-0 professional records and are trained by former WBA lightweight champion Anthony Crolla at Fox ABC in Manchester.
“It’s a dream come true to sign with Matchroom Boxing,” said Ioan.
“I’m grateful for the team around me who have made this possible.
“I want to bring big nights of boxing to Wales, and it’s time to show the world what I can do.”
Garan added: “My apprenticeship is almost over, very soon I’ll be challenging for titles.
“It’s time to make an impact on the 154lbs division. I can’t wait to get started under Matchroom Boxing.”
The Croft twins are fine additions to a Matchroom middleweight roster that already includes Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams, George Liddard and Jimmy Sains.
“I am pleased to welcome Ioan and Garan to the Matchroom Boxing team,” said Hearn.

“With a legend in Anthony Crolla in their corner, they are two very talented young fighters who are eager to make their own names in the sport – and hopefully bring some major fight nights to Wales.
“I can’t wait to see them get up and running, as we look to map out an important 2026 for them both.”
Other boxing twins
There have been numerous successful twin brothers in boxing over the years.
The most notable example being Jermell and Jermall Charlo.
Jermell achieved undisputed supremacy at super welterweight in 2022, while Jermall has held world titles at both super welterweight and middleweight.
There is also Khaosai and Khaokor Galaxy, who became the first twins to get their hands on world honours.

Khaosai was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1999 after a stunning seven-year reign as WBA super-flyweight champion.
Khaokor, meanwhile, was a two-time WBA bantamweight titlist.
