AEW’s Chris Jericho reveals he originally auditioned for Nick Offerman’s role In Margo’s Got Money Troubles

Months before making his official in-ring return in AEW, Chris Jericho made his unexpected wrestling return with Nicole Kidman as part of Apple TV’s new series, Margo’s Got Money Troubles.

In a photograph from Margo’s Got Money Troubles’ official Elle interview, Kidman was pictured wearing vibrant wrestling attire on a red mat, resembling an independent wrestling event. Jericho was positioned behind her, resting against the turnbuckles. The show premiered on Apr. 15, 2026. The Apple TV series also stars Parks & Recreation star Nick Offerman as Jinx, a former pro wrestler and the father of Margo.

Speaking on Talk is Jericho, the former AEW World Champion revealed how he had originally auditioned for a shot at Offerman’s role as Jinx. “It’s weird enough playing myself, but it’s kind of cool. Nick and Nicole, how could you not be cool with this? I actually auditioned for the part that Nick plays. They liked my read. ‘Let’s have him do something in this scene more than just a background.’ That’s how all that came about,” Jericho shared.

Apart from his role in Margo’s Got Money Troubles, the wrestling veteran Jericho has also been a part of several other films, including the popular Terrifier 3.

The Apple TV series is based on a novel where the main character, Margo, gets pregnant with her Professor’s baby and turns to OnlyFans. The story further sees her utilize the marketing knowledge gained from her pro wrestler father to make money and support herself and her child. The series stars Ellie Fanning as Margo, Offerman as her father, alongside Nicole Kidman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Thaddea Graham, and many more as some of the other cast members. Created by David E. Kelley, the show consists of five episodes.
