The Detroit Tigers were losing 9-7 against the Baltimore Orioles in the bottom of the 11th inning on Wednesday when Spencer Torkelson stepped to the plate and crushed a two-run home run. The moment gave the Tigers a momentum boost to say the least. It also may impact the Tigers’ Tarik Skubal trade decision.

Skubal trade rumors have swirled around the MLB world throughout the past few months. With the MLB trade deadline just a few days away, the Tigers need to make their Skubal decision soon. Torkelson accomplished an impressive feat while saving the Tigers in the moment. The homer also displayed the Tigers’ resilience. They are a team that is never going to give up.
