Wild’s Quinn Hughes scores twice to eliminate Stars in Game 6

The Minnesota Wild had the chance to eliminate the Dallas Stars on Thursday night. And it was an opportunity they did not take for granted. Quinn Hughes scored his first goal of these Stanley Cup Playoffs as Minnesota defeated Dallas in Game 6 to move on to the second round.

Hughes went on to score twice in this contest. He, alongside star forward Matt Boldy, led the way offensively for Minnesota. The Stars scored twice in the second, but they couldn’t take down the Wild. Minnesota skated to a 5-2 win and is on to the second round of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

This is a developing story. Updates to follow.
