The Detroit Lions were in the NFC Championship Game two years ago. Last year they earned the top seed in the conference and lost their first playoff game. This year saw them miss the postseason all together.

Needless to say that is not the direction that you want to be moving in, but the main points of the team are not worried. Amon-Ra St. Brown and Penei Sewell joined us for a chat while on Radio Row in San Francisco and they both noted how optimistic they remain in the future. You can watch our conversation below.

One of the things I was curious about was when the duo, the wingmen, knew that things were different for the Lions. They are held to a higher standard now and the reason for that is because players like them keep raising it. They each said that over time they have built a culture that Dan Campbell has been instrumental in and it is strong enough that they trust it to sustain them moving forward.

As noted Amon-Ra and Penei are a dynamic duo and they are in fact each other’s wingman. The two were teamed up with Bounty to make sure that everybody who is paying attention to football this weekend is ready because you always need Bounty when football is involved.
