What Logan Paul said to Anthony Joshua seconds before he broke brother’s jaw

Anthony Joshua got the business done against Jake Paul, albeit taking longer than many had perhaps expected.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer was no match for Joshua in a one-sided affair, but that didn’t stop Paul’s brother Logan from dishing out the trash-talk mid-fight to try and throw the Brit off his game.

Logan could be seen chirping at Joshua ringside at Miami’s Kaseya Center, but it was the British heavyweight who had the last laugh.

“It’s good, bro. You’re the old guy now. That’s crazy,” he could be heard saying, per a video from MVP. “So what are you gonna do?

“What are you gonna do? You’ve lost every single one of them. You’ve lost every single round. This could be a legacy ender, AJ.”

Just seconds later, the 36-year-old administered the knockout blow to ‘The Problem Child’ in the sixth-round of eight.

Joshua landed a clean right hand to seal the deal, and inflicted a double broken jaw on Paul in the process, which resulted in the 28-year-old being rushed to hospital following the defeat.

The ex-Disney star had spent much of the contest in the 22-by-22 foot ring in survival mode, landing just 16 of his 56 punches thrown.

Fight sparked into life, eventually

The first four rounds of the contest were sluggish, where Paul could be seen sticking out his tongue and running away instead of engaging in contact.

This prompted some fans to accuse the fight of being fixed due to the £140 million purse that was equally split.

However, the contest burst into life in the fifth round when Joshua stepped his pursuit of Paul up another gear.

There, an exhausted 28-year-old got dropped with a left hook from Joshua that buckled his knees and sent him flying to the canvas.

After being backed up into a corner, Paul was on the receiving end of a left hook and was then stiffened by a right, sending him tumbling back down onto the canvas again.

In a state of shock and disbelief, and seen mouthing the words ‘wow’, Paul attempted to get back up to his feet, but failed to meet the count.

Logan Paul continued to be a menace after the fight

Despite Joshua doing his talking in the ring, Logan’s antics continued long after the referee called a halt to the proceedings.

This came as he could be seen getting into it with Joshua’s team after the fight, trying to snatch off his Polymarket chain worth an estimated £370,000, before security eventually intervened.

Nonetheless, Joshua still praised his opponent for stepping into the ring with him.

“It wasn’t the best performance. The end goal was to get Jake Paul, pin him down, hurt him – that has been the request leading up,” Joshua said.

“It took a bit longer than expected, but the right hand finally found its destination.”

Paul even managed to squeeze in a few words before his trip to the hospital.

“I’m feeling good, that was fun, I gave it my all, I had a blast,” Paul said. “Anthony’s a great fighter, and I got my a** beat, but that’s what this sport is all about, and I’m going to keep on coming back and keep on winning.”

Amid growing speculation that he may consider retiring from boxing, Paul also admitted that he has plans to continue getting back into the ring.

“Yeah, for sure [I want to keep fighting],” he explained. “We’re going to heal the broken jaw, come back and fight people my weight and go for the cruiserweight world title.

“I’m going to take a little break. I’ve been going hard for six years. I’m going to take some time off.”

Who is next opponent may be, though, remains to be seen.
