Panthers’ 6-word post after Brady Tkachuk trade goes viral
It had been talked about for several weeks. On Sunday, it became official. The Ottawa Senators traded left wing Brady Tkachuk to the Florida Panthers in exchange for the No. 9 and the No. 25 picks in this week’s NHL Draft, a conditional first-round pick in 2029, and a second-round pick in 2027.
Tkachuk made it clear that he did not see a future with the Senators, forcing the front office’s hand to ship him. He still has two seasons remaining on his seven-year contract worth $57.5 million.
The 26-year-old star will not have a difficult time adjusting with the Panthers, especially with his older brother, Matthew Tkachuk, on the squad.
Florida kept it straightforward on X after acquiring the younger Tkachuk.
“Brady Tkachuk is a Florida Panther,” read the caption.
The post, which has garnered over 361,o00 views as of writing, quickly sparked interesting reactions from fans.
“Possibly the most overrated player in the NHL. But congrats,” said @settledown69.
“The most exciting team and also the most hated team in the league next season,” added @jonniekapahala.
“The league is gonna love pounding the crap out of these guys,” wrote @Coco09340494865.
“Tell him to remember to wish his daddy Jordan Staal a Happy Father’s Day,” commented @ATLHR_.
