Tottenham set for seven-figure windfall from Troy Parrott transfer to Italian giants
Troy Parrott has been told that he deserves to get a shot in a bigger league after enjoying ‘the season of his life’.
The ex-Tottenham starlet has been lighting up the Netherlands after scoring 31 goals in 47 appearances for AZ Alkmaar this year.

On Sunday, the 24-year-old even had the ball in the back of the net twice within 60 seconds of kick-off in a 1-1 draw with Feyenoord.
Only the second of his strikes counted, but his form in front of goal again underlined why a host of European clubs are monitoring him.
Troy Parrott next club
Even his old club, Spurs, have been touted to retain interest in re-signing Parrott, but some fans would only be on board if Roberto De Zerbi’s men are relegated from the Premier League.
AC Milan are among the most realistic landing spots, and European football expert Andy Brassell believes he’s earned a big-club move.
“This has been the season of his life, really,” he exclusively told talkSPORT.com. “He’s been really consistent in front of goal.
“He consistently gets himself into goal-scoring positions as well.
“Still only 24, so there’s room for him to develop more. But I think the move to AZ has been brilliant for him.
“Of course, it’s a cup win this year as well. So even if he were to stay, there would be European football at the end of it.
“For what it’s worth, I don’t envisage that. I think he gets his move this summer.”

Parrott to AC Milan transfer
“Now we know that Milan have been very interested – I suppose part of that depends on where they end up,” Brassell continued.
“Do they end up in the Champions League or the Europa League? How much money have they got in the pot come the end of the season? Is Max Allegri still the coach?
“I think clearly they’d like to continue with [Massimiliano] Allegri, but if they don’t make the Champions League, that’s quite a difficult sell.
“So, look, he’s got time to put his feet up for a bit, take a deep breath and then figure out what he’s going to do from there.
“But if you look at the sort of money that AZ are looking for, it’s around about the 25 million euro [£22m] bracket, I think.

“I think that’s really tempting for a lot of people. There’s enough of a player in there that you take the risk that he’ll step up to the next level for that sort of money.
“It’s not like AZ are asking for 50, 60 million or anything like that. So I think he will get a shot in a bigger league. I think he deserves it.
“He’s been brilliant for AZ and for the Republic of Ireland for a bit now.
“If you think, specifically talking about Milan, how many strikers have fallen on their face and good strikers have fallen on their face in recent times. It’s not quite worked for [Christopher] Nkunku.
“You look at [Christian] Pulisic’s goals drying up, [Niclas] Füllkrug, it’s not really worked either. Santi Giménez, of course, came over from the Eredivisie as well. It’s been tough for him, and the club have not been completely successful.
“But I would love to see Parrott get an opportunity at Milan and see what he does with it.”

Tottenham set for windfall from Parrott transfer
talkSPORT understands that Spurs have a 20 per cent sell-on clause on their academy graduate if he seals a move this summer.
Parrott arrived in London in 2017 and came through the club’s youth ranks before making his senior debut at 17 under Jose Mourinho.
The Republic of Ireland international ultimately made four Spurs first-team appearances in and around a succession of EFL loans.
He signed a five-year contract with Eredivisie side AZ until the summer of 2029 upon completing a £6.7m switch in July, 2024.
