Lamine to shine again

While not producing the numbers of other superstars such as Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe at the World Cup so far, Lamine Yamal has still been one of the main threats going forward for Spain, averaging 3.4 shots per game.

Of the four matches he has started for La Roja, Yamal has had at least two shots on target in three of them, the only exception being the group stage win over Uruguay.

The 18-year-old will come up against a Belgium side who did limit the USA to just two shots on target in the last 16, but their performances prior to that had been questionable and they were fortunate to get past Senegal in the first knockout round.

Spain are expected to come away with the win and Yamal should play a key role in that success.

Low scoring game expected

Spain are yet to concede at this World Cup, keeping the likes of Portugal and Austria at bay in the knockout stages.

Belgium do have plenty of ammunition going forward but they struggle in the final third at times, notably in their group stage draws with Egypt and Iran.

The Red Devils have only conceded more than once in one of their last eight matches so can limit Spain, who may be happy to settle for a low-scoring victory.

Raskin 2+ tackles looks a lock

Belgium aren’t going to be seeing much of the ball at Los Angeles Stadium and their midfielders are going to have to get through a lot of work.

Nicolas Raskin has impressed when playing and he isn’t afraid to make a tackle when necessary, averaging 1.8 for the tournament, a tally that would be much higher if he had started more than two games.

The Rangers ace did start the win over the USA and very much impressed, making four tackles as well as creating an assist.

He’s done more than enough to keep his place in the team and should make 2+ tackles in the match.
