Friday football tips

Bet of the Day – Lens to win & Under 3.5 Goals @ 57/50

Lens are sitting pretty in second spot in Ligue 1, just two points adrift of Paris Saint-Germain and five clear of Marseille in third.

Pierre Sage’s side are economical, winning 14 of their 19 league games so far despite only scoring 33 goals. They’ve conceded just 16 times, a record bettered only by the European champions above them (15).

Le Havre, meanwhile, are the second-lowest scorers in the French top tier, with just 16 goals in their 19 games so far, failing to score in five of their last seven.

A 3-1 reverse at Marseille last time out ended a run of six Lens games that yielded under 3.5 goals and a low-scoring home victory looks the way to go here.

Bet Builder – Derby to beat Bristol City, Over 1.5 Goals & Patrick Agyemang anytime goalscorer @ 35/4

Derby County (11th) are starting to make a push towards the Championship playoff spots and they could increase their hopes with a win at Bristol City (7th).

The Rams have taken 10 points from their last five games, with their hosts managing just one win in the last four, and the visiting side can leapfrog the Robins with a victory.

John Eustace’s side boasts a Championship joint-high tally of seven away-day wins already, while Bristol City have gained maximum points in just seven of 15 games at Ashton Gate.

Derby’s away fixtures are averaging 2.64 goals per game and in-form striker Patrick Agyemang is a major threat. The American has scored two in three games lately, netting against Preston and West Brom.

Accumulator – Lens to beat Le Havre, Espanyol to beat Alaves, Both teams to score in FC Koln vs Wolfsburg & Under 2.5 goals in Lazio vs Genoa @ 23/5

Victory for surprise title challengers Lens in Ligue 1 kick-starts the acca. Les Sang et Or have won eight of nine home league games and their visitors have just one away win from their nine.

Espanyol have made a poor start to 2026 with three defeats in four La Liga outings, though they were unfortunate in the 3-2 reverse at Valencia last time, conceding a stoppage-time penalty.

Alaves were surprise winners at home to Real Betis last time out, but on their travels, they have lost eight of 10 games, including each of the last seven and more road-sickness may await now.

The Bundesliga clash between FC Koln and Wolfsburg pits two sides that have seen both teams score in their last four league games each, a trend that can continue here.

In Serie A, however, Lazio are the lowest scorers amongst the top 13 clubs and their clash with Genoa in Rome should be low-scoring, with the visiting side playing out a scoreless draw at Parma in their last away game.
