Seahawks’ RB coach goes viral after NSFW ‘Hard Knocks’ rant

The Seattle Seahawks are featured in the latest season of HBO’s “Hard Knocks.” It premiered on Tuesday, and by the looks of it, fans have been eating it up.

The Seahawks were an easy choice for the documentary series since they will be defending their title. Clearly, returning to the mountaintop is never easy. It could lead to drama, infighting, discontent, and other off-field issues that Seattle is trying to avoid.

The first episode of “Hard Knocks” had a clear star: Running backs coach Thomas Hammock, who gave an impassioned speech during a film session, as shared by the NFL on X.

“The first thing we have to establish is a f***** edge. All right? What is our f****** edge? First of all, it’s gotta start with physicality,” said Hammock.

“That’s what we have to f****** start to establish. I sent you guys the thing that we were the last-ranked group in the NFL. Who gives a f***? But if we establish an identity and an edge, then it don’t f****** matter.”

Hammock’s fiery rant quickly went viral, earning mixed reactions from fans.

“Show these MFs what a champion looks like,” said @IEatNiners.

“This is 100 percent what I am thinking. This is why Seattle will not regress,” claimed @Tom900478049920.

“Not sure how impactful it is to throw the F word out multiple times per sentence. Grow the coaching vocabulary and teach. Every word can have impact. Just swearing a bunch is lazy and can cause tuneout,” suggested @Coach_Teeter.

“Aye, I would have rolled in the meeting when he did that stutter step,” commented @darickrogers.

“Not one of them looks like they give a f*** what he’s saying,” posted @RanterVikings.

As of writing, the video has garnered nearly one million views.

The Seahawks are looking to become the ninth franchise in league history to win back-to-back crowns.
