Ronda Rousey eyed to fight rival who KO’d her in UFC next if she makes retirement U-turn

Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian would love to see Ronda Rousey face Holly Holm again if she chooses to fight again.

Rousey ended a nine-year hiatus from professional MMA when she returned for a historic clash with Gina Carano live on Netflix.

The female wrestling icon took the bout straight to the ground and submitted Carano with a signature armbar in just 17 seconds.

It was a statement victory, but Rousey declared in the cage afterwards that her time in MMA was now over again.

Her pre-meditated decision is unlikely to be reversed despite the success of her display.

But Most Valuable Promotions would have her back, and want to see more.

And they believe an in-house match-up would be next, in a huge clash with former rival Holm.

Bidarian first said: “Whether it’s Ronda or Gina, we’d love to see them fight Holly Holm.”

Paul then added: “Gina is a warrior, we want to see more from her.

“We also want to see more from Ronda, for sure. As a fan it was bitter sweet.

“She did her thing in 17 seconds, it was historic.”

Could Rousey vs Holm 2 actually happen?

Rousey was brutally knocked out by Holm when the pair met in 2015.

It was a brutal head-kick that sent ‘Rowdy’ crashing to the canvas, a shot that gave her problems with concussions beyond that day.

The veteran has been firm on her retirement decision around her most recent display, and is unlikely to entertain the clash even if it is to settle a grudge.

Rousey had her perfect ending, and a chance to ruin it may not be in her plans.

Holm is also taking to the boxing ranks right now, and is unlikely to be willing to crossover again for now.

On her future, Rousey said: “ There’s no way I could have ended it better than this.

“I want to have some more babies, so I have to get cooking.”
