Moses Itauma’s next fight delayed once again as Frank Warren provides update
Moses Itauma’s next fight has been pushed back for a second time.
The precocious talent had initially been due to return to the ring on July 25.

However, his bout was delayed to August 8 to avoid clashing with Anthony Joshua‘s tune-up fight with Kristian Prenga.
Now, that date looks untenable as well, with Itauma’s promoter, Frank Warren, declaring that late August looks to be the most realistic option at this stage.
“We have been trying to get it done over the last few weeks,” Warren told iFL TV.
“It’s not that it is an issue; it is just that it was a matter of getting us all together.
“And we should be in a position [to announce the fight] sometime next week, I hope.
“It will be the back end of August.”
Who is Moses Itauma fighting next?
Late August would suggest that Itauma will compete on either August 22 or August 29.
The Chatham southpaw is expected to face Filip Hrgovic next in what will be his first genuine step up in class.
Hrgovic (20-1) is a bona fide top 10 heavyweight, whose only defeat came to current WBO heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois.
The 33-year-old holds notable wins over Zhilei Zhang and Joe Joyce, and has been on the cusp of a world title shot for some time.

Last time out in May, he battered Dave Allen from pillar to post en route to a one-sided third-round stoppage win.
Hrgovic is contractually obligated to box either Itauma, Agit Kabayel, Dubois or Fabio Wardley next.
Dubois and Wardley are rematching at the back end of the year, while Agit Kabayel is waiting for his mandatory shot at Oleksandr Usyk.
That leaves Itauma as the only realistic option.
Itauma (14-0) has torn through the heavyweight division at a startling pace.
At just 21 years old, many believe he is the heir apparent to the heavyweight throne.
His five-round demolition of Jermaine Franklin in March further reinforced this view, although he has much tougher nights ahead.
