Michael Carter start or sit: Week 14 fantasy football advice

Week 14 of the 2025 NFL season rolls on this afternoon with an NFC West battle featuring the Los Angeles Rams visiting the Arizona Cardinals at 4:25 p.m. ET on FOX.

The Cardinals dropped their fourth straight game in a 20-17 loss to the Buccaneers last Sunday and were officially eliminated from playoff contention in the process. They at least got another nice outing out of running back Michael Carter and we might see more of him as they play out the string.

Below, we’ll go over Carter’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 14.

Fantasy Football analysis: Cardinals RB Michael Carter

Carter was present on both the ground and through the air last Sunday, taking five carries for 17 rushing yards while catching five of six targets for 47 receiving yards. Bouncing between the practice squad and the active roster this season, the fourth-year back has carved out a role for himself as a solid pass-catching option out of the backfield and last Sunday’s game against the Bucs marked his third game this season with at least five receptions.

Carter has also been on the field for at least 50% of the offensive snaps in each of his last two games as he’s been splitting reps with Bam Knight as the season plays out. We’ll see if he can step it up for the Cards in today’s divisional showdown.

Start or sit in Week 14?

Sit. Carter has yet to finish a week as a top-25 fantasy running back this season and I don’t think that will change against a Rams team looking to bounce back from last week’s debacle. Sit Carter.
