Masters Champion Rory McIlroy takes green jacket to Wimbledon
Life is good when you have a green jacket.
Reigning Masters Champion, twice over, Rory McIlroy was wearing professional golf’s most iconic prize on Wednesday, and he was doing so on some sacred grounds that were not Augusta.
Rory was at Wimbledon.
Wimbledon is to tennis what the Masters is to golf so it is always interesting to see the green jacket in attendance.
It makes sense for Rory to be roaming around through Europe these days at next week offers the Scottish Open right before the Open Championship itself. If that isn’t as strong of an indication that we are squarely in the middle of summer then I don’t know what else is.
