Get Jalen Brunson on SVU with Mariska Hargitay ASAP
During the New York Knicks’ run to the NBA championship, one of their biggest supporters was Mariska Hargitay of ‘Law And Order: Special Victims Unit’ fame. Hargitay was courtside to witness the Knicks’ historic Game 4 comeback, but she wasn’t able to make the trip for the clinching Game 5. In any case, Knicks’ star Jalen Brunson has ideas for a cameo appearance of his own following the team’s title run.
Upon entering his postgame press conference, the Knicks’ star was asked what his plans are now that the team’s championship run has culminated. And if he has his way, he’ll be appearing alongside Hargitay in forthcoming episode of the hit show.
“Try to get on SVU,” Brunson remarked before being whisked into the team’s postgame press conference room.
While the former second round pick may want to make a show appearance, he is already a star in every sense of the word. Jalen Brunson dropped in 45 points in Game 5 to power the Knicks to an NBA Finals win, their first in over 50 years. Amid doubts throughout his career about whether or not he could lead a team to a title, Brunson silenced all non-believers with one of the best performances in franchise history.
During the Knicks’ run to the Finals, the former Villanova star averaged a league-leading 28.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 1.2 steals with splits of 46.5 percent shooting from the field, 36.3 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 84.6 percent shooting from the free-throw line.
Brunson joined the Knicks via free agency in the 2022 offseason after beginning his NBA career with the Dallas Mavericks.
