Former UFC star has teased a ‘potential’ WWE future

A few years ago, after Vince McMahon resigned and retired from WWE, Endeavor Group Holdings took over WWE and formed TKO. TKO was formed after WWE merged with UFC in 2023. Ever since then, WWE and UFC have worked on several projects together.

However, even before WWE and UFC became part of the same umbrella brand, both fighting promotions shared a positive working relationship. Over the years, several WWE stars have competed in UFC and vice versa. Now, another collaboration opportunity has arisen.

Former UFC Interim Welterweight champion Colby Covington revealed he’s had discussions with Triple H and WWE regarding a potential future with the wrestling promotion. Speaking to Brian Mazique, Covington revealed that a WWE run is possible in the future, although he is currently focused on Real American Freestyle.

“RAF is definitely somewhere I see myself ending my competitive career at. Whether I entertain other fight offers and go back to the UFC and get some big fights, those are still possibilities. You never know what the future holds and what tomorrow holds. All I can do is control what I can control today, and that’s just my hard training and preparing for Arman Tsarukyan, and you just never know where life will take me.

“I’ve had some calls with Triple H and the WWE, so that’s a potential possibility in the future as well. But I’m all in on RAF; I invested my hard-earned money that I earned fighting into RAF to get a little small equity percentage and I care about the future,” he shared.

Covington, 38, is a former MMA fighter and enjoyed a successful run in UFC from 2014 until 2026. Earlier this year, he announced his retirement from UFC and began a freestyle wrestling career with RAF.
