Charles Barkley calls out Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns for ‘stupid’ 1st-half fouls
The New York Knicks are trying to take control of their second-round series against the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 2 on Wednesday night. After the Knicks dominated Game 1, the 76ers fired back with a more spirited effort in Game 2 as expected.
76ers center Joel Embiid missed this game with ankle and hip injuries, leading many fans to expect a big day from Knicks big man Karl-Anthony Towns. However, Towns picked up his third foul early in the second quarter and wasn’t able to make a big impact on the first half.
At halftime, Charles Barkley blasted Towns for once again getting himself into foul trouble in a big game.

“(The 76ers) did get a break with Karl-Anthony Towns doing what he does and getting stupid fouls all the time for some reason,” Barkley said. “The kid plays so great and then he gets in foul trouble. Without Embiid, he would’ve had a big night tonight.”
