Brazil vs Norway – Bet Builder Tips | 11/2 odds and prediction | talkSPORT
Brazil come into this Round of 32 clash with Norway as five-time World Cup champions chasing a sixth, still unbeaten in the tournament after a stoppage-time escape against Japan.
Norway are here as the story of the summer, with Erling Haaland firing, Martin Ødegaard pulling the strings in the final third, and a first World Cup knockout win already banked against Ivory Coast. If they’re able to get past Brazil it’ll be a first-ever World Cup quarter-final for the Norwegians.
There’s a lot for England fans to pay attention to here as well, as the winner sits on England’s side of the draw should the Three Lions make it past Mexico.
Brazil are 1.92 favourites, yet they’ve never beaten Norway in four attempts and haven’t kept a clean sheet in the knockouts, so the 1X2 on offer won’t return much. Norway at 4.5 is a knockout lottery you really don’t want to stake serious money on.
The value here isn’t in just picking a winner, it’s in the goals. Both defences are leaky, both have attacking players with world class quality, and Norway’s games have been goal-fests all tournament.
So I’ve gone down the multi-leg route to exploit that by building a three-leg bet builder that lands around 11/2 (6.5) with SBK.

Our 11/2 bet builder: Both teams to score, over 2.5 goals, Haaland to score
Norway can’t stop shipping goals to elite attacks, France managed to put four past them, so Brazil’s front line very likely gets on the board.
Brazil themselves couldn’t manage clean sheet in the knockouts and Haaland is arguably the best striker in world football, so Norway will very likely answer back.
Add the New Jersey heat and knockout desperation late on in this one, and three goals feels more than likely.
- Bet on Both Teams to Score – 16/25 with SBK
- Bet on Over 2.5 Goals – 37/50 with SBK
- Bet on Haaland anytime goalscorer – 32/25 with SBK
Combined, those three multiply out to roughly 6.5 (11/2). The pricing on this is likely to change nearer to kickoff though, but it is correct as of writing and a good base level to bear in mind for this bet builder and other World Cup betting offers.
Brazil vs Norway bet builder breakdown
Both teams to score – Yes
Why: Neither back four has fully proven themselves against a quality strikeforce (save for Brazil against Haiti and Scotland).
Norway have conceded in all four of their World Cup matches, including a chastening four against France, and they’ll be facing a sharper attack here than anything Ivory Coast or Senegal offered.
Brazil aren’t watertight either, Morocco managed to score one in the opener and Japan led at half-time in the last round before Casemiro and Gabriel Martinelli turned it around.
Two elite No.9-and-winger combinations, two porous defences…this is what “both teams to score” as a bet was made for.
Stat: Both teams have scored in each of the last four Brazil–Norway meetings, and BTTS has landed in all four of Norway’s 2026 games and seven of Brazil’s last nine.
Bet on Both Teams to Score at 16/25 with SBK
Over 2.5 goals
Why: Norway’s matches are usually carnage, and the numbers are almost silly. Their four World Cup games have produced 18 goals between them, an average of 4.5 per match, and every single one has flown past 2.5.
Brazil bring their own firepower through Vinícius Júnior and Matheus Cunha, and if Norway fall behind they’ll throw bodies forward and chase, because sitting on a low block simply isn’t their game.
There’s an honest counter-argument, and I’d rather mention it now then sell you on some false guarantee. Temperatures in New Jersey are forecast into the mid-90s Fahrenheit on Sunday. Both sides played their Round of 32 ties indoors, and being cautious because it’s a knockout game can really hamper a tie.
That’s the risk on this leg. I still think the goals will come, but a low scoring affair is still a very genuine possibility.
Stat: All four of Norway’s World Cup games have gone over 2.5 goals, returning scorelines with 5, 5, 5 and 3 goals.
Bet on Over 2.5 Goals at 37/50 with SBK
Erling Haaland anytime goalscorer
Why: Haaland has five goals in three World Cup games, he sits one behind Lionel Messi in the Golden Boot race, and has now scored in 13 consecutive competitive internationals, a run with a combined 25 goals.
He’s up against defenders who know him well, as he’s faced Gabriel 11 times for Manchester City against Arsenal and scored six, and netted in all three meetings with Marquinhos.
The knock against him is that he can drift out of games. Haaland had just eight touches in the first half against Ivory Coast before tapping in the winner. But that’s exactly why 2.28 holds up. You don’t need him to be busy, you just need him to get one chance, and Norway’s midfield keeps finding him.
Stat: Haaland has registered eight shots on target across three World Cup games and hasn’t finished a Norway match without scoring since October 2024.

How to place this Brazil vs Norway bet builder
Building this on the SBK app is really simple and takes under a minute.
- You just need to open the app, tap Football, then navigate to the World Cup and select the Brazil vs Norway fixture.
- Open the Bet Builder section and add your three legs one at a time: Both teams to score – Yes, then Over 2.5 goals, then Erling Haaland to score anytime.
The selections will then merge into a single price on your slip.
Even though this is the bet builder I’ve put together, it’s good to shop around. Punch the same three legs into a couple of other books and take the best return you can find. Multi-leg value is worth chasing, and a few percentage points can really up over the course of competition.

Stats that matter for your bet
- Supports BTTS: Both teams have found the net in all four of Norway’s World Cup games and in each of the last four Brazil vs Norway meetings.
- Supports over 2.5 goals: Norway’s four matches have delivered 18 goals in total, and none has finished under three.
- Supports Haaland to score: He’s scored in 13 straight competitive internationals, with 8 shots on target in three tournament games.
- Team news: Brazil are without the injured Lucas Paquetá and carry a major doubt over Raphinha, forcing Ancelotti to reshuffle. Norway have no injury concerns going into the game as of writing.
Why we are backing this bet builder
Because Norway can’t defend against an elite attack, Brazil will very likely score.
Because Brazil can’t keep a clean sheet against quality competition and Haaland at times is unplayable, Norway score (most likely through him).
And because this is an open knockout tie between two front-foot sides, the goals should pile up past 2.5.
Every leg of this bet builder leans into the same logic, which is what a good bet builder should do.
I won’t pretend it’s risk-free, though. The heat and the stakes could really throttle the tempo, and Alisson behind a settled Brazil back line is a clear step up from what Norway have faced so far in the competition. But at around 11/2, the reward more than covers that risk.

Brazil vs Norway match prediction and line-ups
I keep landing on Brazil 2-1 Norway, and so does most of the market.
The Seleção have the deeper squad and the quality to win the game in the final 20 minutes, when Ancelotti’s bench, with Endrick, Martinelli and real pace he can throw on, tends to tell late on. But, Haaland should get Norway on the board.
Extra time is a live possibility, so this bet builder is a risk that you need to be aware of before you jump in.
Prediction: Brazil 2-1 Norway
Brazil predictions: Expect a 4-3-3 built to feed the front three. Paquetá’s knee injury looks tournament-ending, so Endrick steps into midfield, with Vinícius Júnior and Matheus Cunha (with six group-stage goals between them) carrying the attacking load. Raphinha’s fitness is the one to watch on the team-sheet release.
- Predicted XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Danilo, Marquinhos, Gabriel, Douglas Santos; Bruno Guimarães, Casemiro, Endrick; Rayan, Cunha, Vinícius.
Norway predictions: Ståle Solbakken names an unchanged, fully fit side after resting his stars for the France defeat and reaping the reward against Ivory Coast. It’s a 4-3-3 with Ødegaard as the creative hub and Sørloth and Nusa flanking Haaland.
The concern is the same one France exposed, which is a back line that can be pulled apart by clever movement.
- Predicted XI (4-3-3): Nyland; Pedersen, Ajer, Heggem, Møller Wolfe; Ødegaard, Berge, Berg; Sørloth, Haaland, Nusa.
