Blue Jays’ Trey Yesavage suffers apparent injury scare vs. Astros

Regardless of how the remainder of the season unfurls, the Toronto Blue Jays want to see potential franchise pillar Trey Yesavage pile up innings and build strength for the 2027 campaign. He has struggled to maintain momentum this summer, however, and the latest setback could further complicate his rest-of-year objectives. The right-handed starting pitcher exited Tuesday’s game versus the Houston Astros after dealing with some discomfort while warming up, per Sportsnet’s Ben Nicholson-Smith.

Yesavage tossed two hitless innings before leaving the mound. Coming off an excellent outing against the Washington Nationals, he was surely eager to face a challenging Astros lineup. Misfortune cut his night frustratingly short, however. Hopefully, manager John Schneider has good news to report after the action concludes in Daikin Park.
