Belgium vs Senegal – Bet Builder Tips (World Cup 2026)

Belgium and Senegal will be taking place tonight from the Lumen Field in Seattle, with the European side hoping to bury the memory of their 2022 group-stage exit and prove that this “golden generation” is capable of putting together a proper run in a tournament.

Senegal have a lot less pressure on them, as their fans will be going into this with not much expectation and hoping that the side can put together their best run since the 2002 quarter finals.

Interestingly, these two sides have never met in a competitive game, so there’s no head-to-head history to lean on for this one. It’s all about their current form, and Belgium are coming into this game a side that has not lost in 16.

So, I’ve built a three-leg bet builder on SBK: Belgium to win, over 2.5 goals, and both teams to score, that prices up at roughly 6/1 on the individual legs.

Make sure that you check the live combined figure in SBK’s Acca Lab before you stake, because World Cup odds are subject to change and very likely will before the game kicks off.

Our 6/1 bet builder: Belgium win, Over 2.5 goals, Both teams to score

Belgium have the better side on paper and should edge it, but Senegal have already scored in every game they play and Belgium’s defence has only been tested by New Zealand and a couple of low blocks, so I expect the West African side to find the net.

Three goals or more, both teams scoring and Belgium nicking it to end 2-1 is how I see it.

Belgium vs Senegal bet builder breakdown

Belgium to win

Why: Belgium have the squad to win this without ever hitting top gear, but the expectation could be tough to live up to. Rudi Garcia’s side arrive on a 16-match unbeaten run, their second-longest in history, and they topped Group G unbeaten, even if two of those three results were draws.

The 5-1 demolition of New Zealand was the release valve, with Leandro Trossard grabbing a brace plus Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Saelemaekers all getting on the scoresheet.

If this attacking side is able to hit the ground running, then Senegal’s back line is in trouble.

Stat: Belgium piled 33 shots on New Zealand in their final group game, with Trossard and De Bruyne racking up seven attempts apiece. That’s a team that peppers the opponents with shots rather than a side looking to walk it in.

Over 2.5 goals

Why: Senegal’s group-stage matches produced 14 goals, more than any side bar Norway, and five of their last six internationals have sailed over 3.5. Belgium aren’t far behind, with eight of their last nine wins featuring more than 3.5 goals.

Neither defence inspires much confidence, and a knockout tie where one mistake ends your summer tends to stretch teams thin in the closing stages.

Stat: Over 2.5 goals and both teams to score landed in four of Senegal’s last six internationals, including a 3-2 friendly defeat to the USA on 31 May.

⚽ Bet on Belgium vs Senegal to have Over 2.5 goals at 13/10 on SBK ⚽

Both teams to score

Why: Despite me thinking that Senegal will lose this, I definitely think they’ll find the net at least once.

Senegal managed to score in every single group game, even in the 3-1 loss to France and the 3-2 defeat to Norway, and Ismaila Sarr has been one of the tournament’s sharpest forward players so far.

Belgium, for their part, have only conceded twice all tournament, but that was against an attacking unit far less potent than Sarr, Sadio Mané and a returning Pape Gueye.

Both ends of the pitch should be busy.

Stat: Ismaila Sarr has scored 17 goals in his last 30 appearances for club and country, and he’s already Senegal’s all-time leading World Cup scorer. He drifts into the left channel and runs in behind, exactly the space Belgium’s full-backs neglect when they push on up the pitch.

How to place Belgium vs Senegal bet builder

Getting this World Cup betting offer with SBK takes under a minute on the app, as you just need to open the SBK app, log in and then search “Belgium vs Senegal” or find it under Football, World Cup.

Tap into the Bet Builder tab on the match page (SBK groups this under its Acca Lab). Add your first selection (Belgium full-time result), then over 2.5 goals from the Goals market, then both teams to score.

Watch the combined price update as each leg goes in, enter your stake, and double-check the slip before you confirm.

You should compare the bet-builder price against backing the three legs as singles elsewhere. Sometimes the compounding value of a multi-leg builder beats it; sometimes the singles pay more.

If that doesn’t make sense, our World Cup 2026 betting guide will walk you through the basics!

Stats that matter for your bet

  • Supports Belgium to win: Belgium are unbeaten in 16 (W10, D6) and lost just once in their last six World Cup matches against African opposition.
  • Supports over 2.5 goals: Senegal’s group games produced 14 goals, the second-highest tally of any team, and five of their last six internationals went over 3.5.
  • Supports both teams to score: Senegal scored in all three group matches and shipped six goals across defeats to France and Norway, so they bring threat and leak at both ends.
  • Team news: Senegal are sweating on first-choice keeper Edouard Mendy (knee), with Mory Diaw the likely option and that’s a real issue that Belgium can exploit. Belgium welcome Nathan Ngoy back from a one-match ban and are able to name an otherwise fully fit squad.

Why we are backing this bet builder

Because Senegal attack on the break quickly and tend to score in every game, Belgium can’t simply shut up shop. Conversely, Belgium carry more quality through at least De Bruyne, Lukaku and Trossard, that they should be able to land the decisive goal.

I think that Belgium win, both teams score and there are three or more on the board.

The counter to this is that knockout football often tightens up compared to the group stages. The bigger books rate under 2.5 goals at 4/6, shorter than the over, and Belgium have shown in their 0-0 with Iran that they are more than capable of slipping up against lesser opposition.

Mendy’s absence could just as easily mean a nervy Senegal collapse, but if you fear a cagey, low-scoring affair settled by one moment, this builder isn’t for you. But the weight of evidence from both teams’ goalscoring trends points the other way for me.

Belgium vs Senegal Odds

To keep things balanced, here’s where the straight match-result market sits across the bookies. Belgium are still the favourites, but Senegal are a live underdog rather than a no-hoper, as they’re only around six places below Belgium in the FIFA rankings.

Belgium vs Senegal match prediction and line-ups

Belgium’s squad depth is the difference here, and that is what has influenced my betting tips and prediction.

Garcia can summon Lukaku and Nicolas Jackson-level quality from the bench in the final 20 minutes, and in a knockout game that will no doubt drain the legs, that depth makes a massive different.

Senegal will find the net, they seem to always do, but Belgium have one more gear, and Mendy’s likely absence is a hole that Senegal can’t easily plug.

Prediction: Belgium 2-1 Senegal

  • Back Belgium to win
  • Take both teams to score: Yes.

Belgium predictions: Garcia is expected to line up in a 4-2-3-1, with Ngoy slotting back in at centre-half alongside Arthur Theate after his suspension.

De Bruyne pulls the strings behind the front line, Doku and Trossard stretch the pitch, and the big question is whether Lukaku starts or repeats his super-sub act from the New Zealand game.

  • Predicted XI: Courtois; Castagne, Ngoy, Theate, De Cuyper; Tielemans, Vanaken; Doku, De Bruyne, Trossard; De Ketelaere.

Senegal predictions: Pape Thiaw’s side should restore Pape Gueye to the XI after his two-goal  cameo against Iraq, with Mané, Sarr and Ibrahim Mbaye expected to lead the line. The dilemma is in goal, where Mendy’s injury hands Mory Diaw a daunting knockout debut behind a back line that conceded three to both France and Norway.

  • Predicted XI: Diaw; Sabaly, Koulibaly, Niakhaté, Jakobs; I. Gueye, P. Gueye; I. Sarr, P.M. Sarr, Mbaye; Mané.
