The Yankees will closely monitor the situation. Updates on Dominguez’s injury status will be provided as they are made available.

Dominguez was recently promoted to the big league team after not making the Opening Day roster. He is doing everything he can to earn a permanent role on the MLB team. It goes without saying, but the last thing Dominguez needs right now is to miss time due to a potential injury.

Wednesday’s contest was only Dominguez’s third game with the Yankees in 2026. In 24 games at Triple-A, the outfielder hit .326/.415/.478 across 92 at-bats. He added three home runs and eight stolen bases.

Dominguez is only 23 years old. He features the ceiling of a superstar, however. The Yankees believe he can be an impactful player for years to come.

Overall, the Yankees are 20-10 and in first place in the American League East standings this season. New York has played well despite dealing with a number of injury concerns. Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodon and Anthony Volpe are among the Yankees dealing with injuries. Nevertheless, the ball club has found ways to win games and they look like a legitimate contender.

At the moment, though, the Yankees trail the Rangers 2-0 in their game on Wednesday in Texas. New York will attempt to come back and win the contest.
