Yankees’ Gerrit Cole to make season debut Friday vs. Rays
The New York Yankees are finally getting Gerrit Cole back on the mound. Cole is set to pitch for the Bronx Bombers on Friday, per USA Today. New York takes on the Tampa Bay Rays in that game.
Cole hasn’t played for the team since the 2024 season. Following Tommy John surgery, Cole missed the entire 2025 campaign. He joins a Yankees team striving to return to the World Series in 2026.
