WWE’s Danhausen in awe over Madison Square Garden show after Knicks’ championship

In just a few weeks, WWE star Danhausen returns to Madison Square Garden for the first time since the New York Knicks’ championship win for Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Needless to say, he is excited. The venue is currently advertising the show, which features the “Very Nice, Very Evil” Superstar front and center.

More than likely, he will receive a hero’s welcome at the Garden from Knicks fans. After all, his reversal of the “curse” placed on the team resulted in a 13-game win streak on their way to a championship win.

Danhausen is central to WWE’s next show at the Knicks’ home arena, Madison Square Garden

Ever since the Knicks won the NBA Finals, WWE has been pushing Danhausen heavily for their next event at the Garden. The July 2026 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event will be held at MSG on July 18.

Danhausen is featured on the poster, so he will be at the event. However, the rest of the card has yet to be announced. The next Saturday Night’s Main Event will take place on Sep. 6 in Atlanta, Georgia.

We’ll have to wait and see if any Knicks players attend the show. NBA Finals MVP Jalen Brunson is a wrestling fan, so perhaps he will turn up and acknowledge Danhausen.

The Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals to win the franchise’s first championship in 53 years. Their 13-game win streak continued into the Finals, and New York won the first two games of the series on the road.

The win streak was snapped in Game 3, which, coincidentally, was attended by President Donald Trump. They would win the next two games, including Game 4, where they came back from as much as 29 points to secure a 3-1 series lead.
