WWE’s Danhausen demands fans buy new Knicks merch to avoid ‘curse’ amid 3-0 start

If fans want the “uncursed” New York Knicks to keep rolling, they’d better buy the new merch with WWE Superstar Danhausen on it as they gain a 3-0 lead on the Cleveland Cavaliers.

WWE released new merchandise in partnership with the Knicks. The first shirt features the NBA team’s logo and the phrase “Uncursed” above it. Teeth surround it, and the Superstar’s tagline, “Very Nice, Very Evil,” is beneath the logo.

The second shirt features Danhausen, who is hovering above the Knicks’ logo. It says, “You are uncursed!” around the logo, emphasizing “uncursed.”

When he first posted about it, Danhausen demanded fans buy the shirts. Otherwise, they are “cursed.” Surely, superstitious Knicks fans indulged.

After Game 3 between the Knicks and Cavaliers, the “Very Nice, Very Evil” Superstar once again promoted the new shirts, writing, “The Curse lives on. 3 and Zerohausen.”

After going down 2-1 to the Atlanta Hawks in their first playoff series, Danhausen “uncursed” the Knicks. Since then, they have won 10 games, most in dominant fashion.

They swept the Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. In the Eastern Conference Finals, New York holds a 3-0 lead on Cleveland.

The closest they came to losing a game was Game 1 against the Cavaliers. They were down by 22 points with under eight minutes left in the game. However, Jalen Brunson willed his team back into it, and they won by 11 points in overtime.

Since then, they have won Games 2 and 3 by 16 and 13 points, respectively. Game 4 will be played on Monday, May 25, 2026, with tip-off scheduled for 8 pm EST. If the Knicks win, they will advance to the NBA Finals for the first time this millennium.

The last time they made the NBA Finals was in 1999, when they lost in five games to the San Antonio Spurs. There is a chance that a rematch of that series will occur this year. The Spurs are currently tied 2-2 with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.
