WWE Champion not medically cleared for an injury return

Injuries are an extremely common part of combat sports. With pro-wrestlers often getting injured, they have also found their way back by working hard and treating their injuries. Joining the list of one currently not cleared for an in-ring comeback is WWE Tag Team Champion R-Truth.

Last month, in May. 2026, it was announced that R-Truth was not cleared for a return to the ring in the midst of his and Damian Priest’s tag team title reign. This led to Royce Keys getting involved with the pair against their feud with Solo Sikoa’s MFT.

Recently speaking to WittyWhittier in a new interview, R-Truth opened up and addressed his injury and pending in-ring comeback status. The veteran confirmed that he still was not cleared for a return to the ring.

“Anybody. There’s no dream, man. We live in the reality right now. Like my childhood hero, my older brother would say, dog, you know what I’m saying? It’s open challenges to them, dog. You know what I’m saying? We invite them all,” Truth said.

“You know what I’m saying? If they want to step up, pull up. MFTs, we got to take care of them because they’re on a whole different thing, dog. They’re hurting people. I’m not even medically released yet because of the MFTs. You know what I’m saying? So it’s like, right now, they on the radar, though.”

Similar to Truth, Sheamus and Stephanie Vaquer are also out with injuries, with no clear update on their in-ring comeback status. While Sheamus has been teasing his return recently, Vaquer has shared nothing about her possible comeback.
