England are set to play across North America at this summer’s World Cup and will have to get to grips with the weather conditions if they are to claim glory.

Canada, Mexico and the USA will co-host the tournament together.

The Three Lions have been drawn into Group L, where they will face Croatia, Ghana and Panama.

As a result, Thomas Tuchel’s side are guaranteed to play matches in Texas, Massachusetts and New York this summer.

If England win their group, they will then play in Atlanta before potential trips to Mexico City and Miami.

Concerns were raised over the heat during last summer’s Club World Cup in the USA and those fears are continuing heading into the 23rd edition of the world’s most famous sporting event.

England’s squad are now in Florida ahead of the tournament getting underway and are trying to acclimatise to the brutal heat and humidity in the States.

Here is what to expect weather-wise at England’s matches this summer.

England’s World Cup weather forecast

The Three Lions begin their group stage campaign against Croatia at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday, June 17.

Dallas averages temperatures between 23C and 34C during June but the early forecast for the Group L opener is that it will be hot and rainy.

Temperatures of 34C are expected at the 3pm local time kick-off with a real feel closer to 41C.

The Three Lions won their group at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Repeating the feat this summer would see England head to Atlanta for their last 32 tie on July 1.

July is the wettest month of the year in Atlanta, Georgia, with average temperatures ranging between 22 and 32 degrees.

A victory will see the Three Lions through to the last 16, where they will play outside the USA for the only time at the tournament.

The Group L winner’s last 16 clash will be played at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on July 5.

There is a high chance of rain in the Mexican capital in July, whilst temperatures will be cooler than earlier in the World Cup, with averages between 12 and 25 degrees Celsius.

England will return to the USA for their quarter-final tie if they reach the last eight and the match is scheduled for July 11 in Miami Gardens.

Temperatures range between 27 and 30 degrees Celsius in Miami in July, although high precipitation remains.

A second semi-final appearance in three World Cups would see England return to Atlanta once again.

Meanwhile, the World Cup final is set to be played back at MetLife on Sunday, July 19.
