WATCH: Kranti Goud becomes first female cricketer to feature on Lord's Honours Board

Medium pacer Kranti Goud has made history by becoming the first female cricketer to feature on the Lord's Honours Board. She has become the fifteenth Indian bowler to achieve the landmark, which also includes legendary names like Kapil Dev, Bishan Singh Bedi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ishant Sharma, to name a few.

The landmark moment came for the pacer in the ongoing historic Test match between India and England at the home of cricket. In the second innings of the match as the Englishwomen came out to bat, Kranti made an instant impact, resulting in quick wickets to bring the hosts on back foot. She first removed opener Tammy Beaumont in the fourth over and returned in the 14th to send Maia Bouchier packing.

Later in her spell, she also removed the well-set English skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt and Alice Capsey. Tailender Lauren Bell became her fifth and final victim of the innings, as her dismissal for 3 off 13 made Kranti the first-ever female cricketer to feature on the Honours Board at the most historic cricketing venues in the world.

Goud shared the special moment with her family members, video-calling them while writing her name on the board with a marker pen. Her captain Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and other Indian teammates were also present alongside to share the special moment.

The last Indian bowler to do so was Jasprit Bumrah, who took a brilliant five-wicket haul (5 for 74) against England in the Lord's Test during the tour of 2025. In 2026, Goud has become the third pacer to do so, with Nathan Smith and Kyle Jamieson of New Zealand having recently scalped five-fors during the first Test of the recent series.
