Watch incredible moment when White Sox’s Noah Schultz was surprised with call-up
The Chicago White Sox are preparing for a momentous occasion on Tuesday when top prospect Noah Schultz makes his MLB debut. As he soaks in his call up, the way Schultz was informed he’s going to the big leagues will be a part of it.
Triple-A manager Chad Pinder brought Schultz into his office with a few other coaches. After some back and forth, Pinder revealed the news to the top prospect. All were in a celebratory mood once the call up revelation was announce, via the team’s X, formerly Twitter account.
“You’re still going to throw Tuesday, but it’s not going to be with us,” Pinder said. “It’s going to be with the big club.”
“Lets do it,” Schultz responded.

Schultz is entering his MLB debut ranked as the second-best prospect in the White Sox organization and No. 45 in all of baseball, via MLB Pipeline. A pivotal piece of Chicago’s future, all eyes will be on the right-hander when he’s on a major league mound for the first time.
Over his 53 games at the minor league level, Schultz put up a 2.94 ERA and a 248/77 K/BB ratio. Over his three appearances during the 2026 campaign, the right-hander posted a 1.29 ERA and a 19/2 K/BB ratio. That was more than enough for the White Sox to decide he was ready for MLB action.
He will be making his debut against the Tampa Bay Rays at Guaranteed Rate Field. If he is able to dazzle in front of his home crowd, perhaps the future is now and Schultz is here to stay long-term.
