Watch fighter score fastest MMA KO of the year with blistering 4-second finish

The LFA 235 co-main event was over in a flash.

Jake ‘The Milkman’ Woodley and David Wright locked horns in the semi-finals of the LFA middleweight tournament at the Freedom Hall in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday night.

The expectation was a high-octane battle between two in-form fighters.

But the contest was over so quickly that fans who had dashed off for snacks and drinks returned to their seats to discover the referee already raising the winner’s hand.

As soon as the opening bell sounded, Woodley – no relation to the former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron – came hurtling across the cage and uncorked a massive right hand.

The punch landed right on the button and left Wright out cold on the canvas.

Veteran commentator Ron Kruck has called hundreds of fights, but even he couldn’t believe what had just happened.

“Right away, David Wright is down,” yelled Kruck.

“Jake Woodley drops the bomb. Are you kidding me?

“We may have a record finish. The milkman delivered.”

What is the record for the fastest MMA KO?

In the end, the stoppage was recorded at 4 seconds, one second faster than Jorge Masvidal’s flying knee finish over Ben Askren, but just shy of a world record.

While it is the fastest KO of 2026, there are a few fighters tied on 3 seconds for the overall record.

Woodley won’t mind too much about that though as the now 8-1 prospect has well and truly announced himself to the MMA world.

“I visualised getting a five second knockout a million times,” said Woodley.

“I knew I was going to run out and throw a right hand.

“I thought maybe I would wrestle after, but I’m in really good shape and I believe in my cardio.

“I wanted to start fast and never let up, but I felt him go stiff and I was like ‘Holy s***, I think I knocked him out’.”

In victory, Woodley punches his ticket for a vacant LFA middleweight title fight against Zayne Havener, who beat Andrew Stewart in the other semi-final.

However, if the UFC comes calling after his blistering stoppage victory, Stewart insists he is ready to rise to the occasion.

“Obviously, number one is the UFC so I would love to go to the UFC right now, but if it is Contender Series, it is Contender Series, or it is the LFA belt, I don’t make those decisions unfortunately,” added Stewart.

“If it was up to me I’d be in the UFC, but whatever comes next I am ready.”
