What started off as a normal game quickly turned into a defensive battle after the first quarter. After dropping 28 points in the first period, Golden State failed to score more than 23 in any quarter afterwards. The Suns also struggled offensively, but a strong first half gave them enough security to keep themselves ahead.

Devin Booker and Jalen Green both led the Suns with 24 points on the day. Nobody else on the team managed to eclipse 13 points, but considering the low-scoring nature of the game, it didn’t matter in the end.
Meanwhile, Kristaps Porzingis did everything he could to help the Warriors win. Overall, he scored 30 points while also picking up 11 rebounds in the loss. He was aided by Steph Curry, who added 22 points along with 11 rebounds. However, their efforts weren’t enough to pull the Warriors back into the game.

With the win, the Suns rebound from their first Play-In loss and advance to the NBA playoffs for the fifth time in six years. However, things don’t get easier from here. In fact, they’ll now travel to OKC and take on the defending Champions – the Thunder. But anything can happen in the playoffs, and just making it to the postseason is the first step towards winning it all.
Meanwhile, the Warriors’ season comes to an end. While they managed to beat the Clippers, they weren’t able to do enough to make the playoffs. With a record of 37-45, it was already evident that the Warriors just aren’t the team they used to be. Perhaps they’ll finally start a new rebuild to get the team back on track in the 2026-2027 season.
