Warriors 2026 NBA Mock Draft roundup as June arrives
The Golden State Warriors have been trying to balance building for the future while maximizing the final years of Stephen Curry and Draymond Green for quite some time now. That duo won four championships together from 2015 to 2022. They’ve also had some down years, which led to high draft choices on James Wiseman, Moses Moody, and Jonathan Kuminga. Unfortunately, the Warriors haven’t been able to diagnose the young talent to help out the aging veterans.
The team will have one more go at finding a rookie star to pair with Curry and Green before their eventual retirement when they draft 11th overall in the 2026 NBA Draft. Golden State also holds the 54th overall pick. So, what are draft experts predicting the Warriors will do on draft day?

Warriors’ mock draft analysis

Brayden Burries has been commonly mocked to the Warriors throughout the NBA season, and that hasn’t changed as the calendar has switched over to draft month. Both ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel and ESPN project the Arizona product to go 11th overall. The combo guard was arguably the best player on an Arizona team that spent much of the year as the number one team in the nation, despite the fact that he was just a freshman.
Burries can score from all three levels and is a strong enough defender that he can guard on the wing. His selection would signal that Golden State isn’t willing to take high-risk, high-reward prospects anymore, as they did with Wiseman and Kuminga. Burries doesn’t have the highest ceiling, but he should be a solid role player in the NBA.
Hannes Steinbach is another player who was taken by the Warriors in multiple recent mock drafts. Steinbach is a modern big man who would fit in well in Golden State. He has 3-point shooting touch and advanced playmaking feel, but he is also a solid rebounder and interior scorer. The Warriors have lacked a star center for much of their extended dynasty run, but they did trade for Kristaps Porzingis this year.
The Warriors are also being predicted to take win-now players with experience. For example, Sports Illustrated has them selecting Yaxel Lendeborg, a six-year collegiate player who just won a national championship with Michigan. Lendborg served as Michigan’s do-it-all chess piece during their title run, and it helps that his 3-point shot developed in Ann Arbor, too.
Andrej Stojakovic, Emanuel Sharp, and Ja’Kobi Gillespie are upperclassmen fits in the second round, too. They’d provide immediate depth for a roster that has had some injury issues in recent years. The other player mocked to the Warriors in the first round by The Ringer was Labaron Philon. Curry hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down, but he won’t keep chugging along forever, and the Warriors need to think about a plan for when he is gone. Philon developed into a lethal 3-point shooter during his sophomore season at Alabama.
It isn’t 100% clear who the Warriors will target or which skill sets/positions they covet, but one thing is for sure: the Warriors can’t afford to blow the draft yet again.
