Victor Wembanyama lands doubtful injury designation before Spurs-Trail Blazers clash
The San Antonio Spurs are scheduled to face the Portland Trail Blazers at home on Wednesday at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, but there’s a chance that they will not have the services of star big man Victor Wembanyama.
The former No. 1 overall NBA draft pick was hurt in Monday’s showdown against the Philadelphia 76ers and is now listed as doubtful for the Blazers game, via Shams Charania of The Athletic.
“Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is listed doubtful to play in Wednesday’s game against Portland due to a rib contusion but there’s confidence he will play at least one of the team’s final three regular-season games,” Charania shared via a social media post on X, formerly Twitter.
