Dominic Smith has been in the majors for 10 seasons, with this year being the first in Atlanta, and whether he starts or comes off the bench, he’s been producing with a .325 batting average with five home runs and 25 RBIs in 47 games and 123 at-bats. Speaking with MLB Network Radio, Smith would express how the culture with foundations of selflessness makes it “easy to go out and play for this family.”

“These guys are so selfless, and they just want to help each other win, and it’s just a fun group. Like, when you come here, you just kind of adapt to the culture that they already laid out, and it’s just easy to go out and play for this family,” Smith said.

Dominic Smith on the Braves’ “winning environment”

There’s no denying that the Braves are having an immense amount of success from top to bottom of the ball club and have been called by most to be the team that could take down the mighty Los Angeles Dodgers. Smith would continue talking about Atlants and the “winning environment” that surrounds the team.

“It’s not about me, it’s not about one person, one thing,” Smith said. “I’m here, you know, whenever my name is called up, I’ll be ready. If I come off the bench, if I’m starting, I just like to win, I like to be around this culture, around this winning environment, and whatever it takes to help this ball club win, I’m here for, I’m here to do it, and I just want to just reiterate that to them, and that’s what I constantly tell them.”

The Braves are first in the NL East, and look to keep the winning ways going against Toronto.
