USMNT 2026 World Cup roster officially revealed
The U.S. Men’s National Team is now set for the 2026 World Cup in Mexico, Canada, and the United States. Mauricio Pochettino has officially picked his 26-man squad for the tournament, so we now know who will rock the red, white, and blue on Friday, June 12, when the USMNT takes on Paraguay in Los Angeles to open their campaign. Here is the USMNT 2026 World Cup roster.
Goalkeepers (3): Matt Freese (New York City FC), Matt Turner (New England Revolution), Chris Brady (Chicago Fire)
Defenders (10): Tim Ream (Charlotte FC), Chris Richards (Crystal Palace), Antonee Robinson (Fulham), Sergino Dest (PSV Eindhoven), Alex Freeman (Villarreal), Max Arfsten (Columbus Crew), Auston Trusty (Celtic), Mark McKenzie (Toulouse), Joe Scally (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Miles Robinson (FC Cincinnati)
Midfielders (4): Tyler Adams (Bournemouth), Weston McKennie (Juventus), Sebastian Berhalter (Vancouver Whitecaps), Cristian Roldan (Seattle Sounders)
Attacking Midfielders/Wingers (6): Christian Pulisic (AC Milan), Malik Tillman (Bayer Leverkusen), Tim Weah (Marseille), Gio Reyna (Borussia Mönchengladbach), Brendan Aaronson (Leeds United), Alejandro Zendejas (Club América)
Strikers (3): Folarin Balogun (Monaco), Ricardo Pepi (PSV Eindhoven), Haji Wright (Coventry City)
A lot of these selections were to be expected, with a few notable exceptions. Taking 10 defenders is a lot more than most predicted. That means that Joe Scally and Miles Robinson were among the last additions to the squad. That means two other layers had to miss out, and the two final snubs were forward Diego Luna and midfielder Tanner Tessmann.
The other, somewhat smaller surprises include Alejandro Zendejas making the final USMNT 2026 World Cup roster as well as the inclusion of the polarizing Gio Reyna.
