Troy Franklin start or sit: Week 17 fantasy football advice
Week 17 of the 2025 NFL season will kick off with a Christmas triple-header today and the third matchup will feature the Denver Broncos visiting the Kansas City Chiefs at 8:15 p.m. ET on Prime Video.
The Broncos missed a chance to clinch the AFC West title in a 34-20 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday and will have another chance to so this week with a win tonight and a Chargers loss on Saturday. Wide receiver Troy Franklin did his part in Sunday’s setback and we’ll see how he lends a helping hand in tonight’s holiday showdown.
Below, we’ll go over Franklin’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 17.
Fantasy Football analysis: Broncos WR Troy Franklin
Franklin played a big role in the offense during Sunday’s home loss to the Jaguars, catching four of six targets for 66 receiving yards. The second-year wideout has been a solid Flex pick up in deeper leagues for a while now as he’s been a top-25 fantasy receiver in four of his last six outings. He continues to flex his rapport with his college teammate Bo Nix and he may get a chance to bury a Chiefs team that has nothing to play for.
Start or sit in Week 17?
Start. Franklin has been getting a healthy dose of targets each week and I’m confident that he will make his mark in this matchup. Not only will the Broncos be motivated after Sunday’s loss, there will be extra motivation to bury a Chiefs team that has nothing to play for at Arrowhead Stadium. Start him.
