Trevor Zegras ignites Flyers fans with 1st career playoff goal
The Philadelphia Flyers are taking on the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 3 of their first-round playoff series. The Stanley Cup Playoffs are always an intense affair. However, this series in particular has become quite nasty. The emotion behind the intensity may have been a major driving force behind the reaction to Trevor Zegras’s first career playoff goal on Wednesday night.
The Flyers and Penguins had engaged in a massive line brawl prior to his goal. On the ensuing power play, Zegras ripped a shot past Penguins goaltender Stuart Skinner. This goal tied the game at the time, and it sent Xfinity Mobile Arena into an absolute frenzy.

Zegras joined the Flyers through a trade last summer with the Anaheim Ducks. The former first-round pick had shown promise with the Ducks, but injuries had hindered his development in Anaheim. As a result, he was given a fresh start in Philadelphia.
This is a developing story. Updates to come.
