Travis Kelce laughs about being the ‘less famous’ one in Taylor Swift relationship

Travis Kelce and Colin Jost have more in common than their high-profile jobs — being plus ones to their superstar partners.

Kelce is engaged to pop star Taylor Swift, while the Saturday Night Live comedian is married to Scarlett Johansson. The Kansas City Chiefs star asked Jost, who was a guest on the May 13 episode of his and Jason Kelce’s New Heights, how did it feel like to be the “less famous” one in his relationship.

“As two guys who are also of the plus one fraternity and have the same experience, how nice is it to be the less famous person in your relationship?” Travis asked Jost.

“It’s really funny because I think I’m probably almost approached more because she’s less approachable,” Jost said. “Because I’m on TV… people are just like, I’m in their living room, so they were just like, ‘Hey, what’s up, man? How’s going?’ She’s actually almost. like, so famous that they don’t believe it a lot of times.”

Travis agreed, saying, “Shout out to the plus ones out there!”

Jost responded, recognizing the NFL star’s relationship with Swift, “I feel like we can commiserate.”

Travis proposed to Swift in August 2025 after two years of dating. Jost and Johansson began dating in 2017 and tied the knot in 2020. The couple welcomed their son, Cosmo in 2021.

Swift and Travis will reportedly get married on July 3 in New York. He raved about his relationship with the star in an interview with GQ where he noted how proud he was to be her “plus one.” The three-time Super Bowl champion shared how grateful he was to do life with someone who works hard.

“I hadn’t experienced somebody in the same shoes as me, having a partner who understands the scrutiny, understands the ups and downs of being in front of millions,” Travis shared with the publication in 2025.

“That was very relatable, seeing how exhausted she would get after shows,” he added. “She may not think of herself as an athlete. She will never tell anyone that she is an athlete. But I’ve seen what she goes through. I’ve seen the amount of work that she puts on her body, and it’s mind-blowing.”
