Suffice it to say, New York Knicks superfan Timothée Chalamet is thrilled that his team is heading to the NBA Finals after winning the Eastern Conference Finals (ECF).

He took to his Instagram Stories to share his excitement, posting a video of the ECF trophy ceremony and writing, “KNICKS TO THE MOTHERF*****G FINALS THAT’S IT,” over it.

Like all New Yorkers, Chalamet is hyped for his team. The Knicks will play in the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999. Chalamet was just three years old at the time.

Jalen Brunson was awarded the ECF MVP award for his efforts during the ceremony. During the series, he averaged 25.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 7.8 assists per game. Moreover, he led the team as their captain to a sweep of the Cavaliers. The Knicks have now won 11 postseason games in a row.

Chalamet and his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, were in Cleveland for Game 4 of the ECF. They were sitting close to the action, as usual, and were among the many Knicks fans who traveled to the game. Other celebrity fans like Spike Lee, Fat Joe, and Ben Stiller were also spotted at Rocket Arena.

Being from New York, Chalamet is a lifelong Knicks fan. He was born in the Big Apple, growing up in Hell’s Kitchen. Despite his stardom, he has retained his hometown roots. Years of watching a struggling Knicks franchise have finally paid off.

Now, the Knicks and their fans will have over a week to rest before the NBA Finals begin. The series will start on Wednesday, June 3.
