Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards reveals savage Game 4 message to Spurs rookie
Anthony Edwards took charge in the fourth quarter and led the Minnesota Timberwolves to the hard-earned win, 114-109, over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 at Target Center on Sunday to tie their second-round series in the playoffs, 2-2.
Edwards scored 16 of his game-high 36 points in the final period. He also finished with six rebounds and two assists. He shot 13-of-22 from the field.
He toyed with every defense thrown at him by the Spurs, reminding everyone why he is one of the top-tier talents in the NBA. He had been struggling since recently returning from a knee injury.
In the postgame interview, Edwards revealed that he had a savage message for Dylan Harper, who guarded him in the fourth quarter.
“I told the rookie a couple of possessions before the end of the game, if I had my legs, he would’ve been dunked on. He knew that,” said Edwards.

The 24-year-old superstar gets fueled by competition, and he definitely got challenged by Harper. But in the end, he came out unscathed.
Harper made a good account of himself, scoring 24 points on 8-of-11 shooting off the bench, tying De’Aaron Fox for the team-high. He also had seven rebounds and three steals in 27 minutes.
Game 5 returns to San Antonio on Tuesday.
