Thursday horse racing tips

Perth

• 14:48: Pergamon 5/2 (1pt)

Kempton

• 16:55: Veil Of Clouds 5/2 (1pt)
• 18:33: Zabeel Alkabeir 7/1 E/W (1pt)

Pergamon

Can’t really see any other horse other than the favourite who has drifted out to around 5/2 to win this.

There are some dangers of other horses dropping down in the weights who could potentially cause an upset but they need a big improvement to do so.

Whereas Pergamon is still on the up after two wins on the bounce and looks dangerous with his form on good ground over hurdles exceptional.

Veil Of Clouds

Gets plenty of weight from older rivals including the 3/1 shot Khaleejy who has to carry 10st 5lb to Veil Of Clouds’s 8st13lb.

This Pinatubo filly has got increasingly better and another step up in trip looks to suit well after going well in second on the all weather last time out.

Was even favourite for her debut so there’s still plenty of promise for her to improve further.

Zabeel Alkabeir

Both Maximising and Blue Prince will be looking to be help up before running on late as both did well last time out doing just that.

Maximising went a neck second at Lingfield over a mile and Blue Prince stormed home to win by two lengths over 7f.

However, I like the look of Zabeel Alkabeir at an each-way price of 7/1 under James Doyle for the in-form James Tate, with this horse that is dangerously unexposed and has won twice in his last three.
