The Rock breaks character to praise former WWE foe Seth Rollins

Once arch-rivals on the WWE roster, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Seth Rollins have made up their relationship and moved on from their mutual hate. A few years ago at WWE WrestleMania 40, fans saw Cody Rhodes team up with Seth Rollins to take on The Rock and Roman Reigns.

However, at the same PLE, Rollins injured himself and went on hiatus. Later, during an interview, Rollins revealed making up with Johnson during his absence and receiving pints of ice cream from him.

Recently speaking to Complex, The Rock was asked which WWE finisher could take on Te Ka in Moana besides his Rock Bottom. Johnson shared from his own experience and answered Seth Rollins’ Stomp.

“I would say Seth Rollins’ stomp. It’s my favorite. I took it at WrestleMania. I am a glutton for punishment, so I… there’s some finishing moves I loved taking. His is so iconic and I took that. It’s a wild… just a face stomp into the mat. It was cool,” the actor said.

The 2026 Moana live-action film, directed by Thomas Kail and starring Johnson as Maui and Catherine Laga’aia as Moana, is set to release on Jul. 10, 2026.

Is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson returning to WWE?

The Rock has not been seen in WWE since his Elimination Chamber 2025 shenanigans with John Cena, Cody Rhodes, and Travis Scott. While rumored to return at WrestleMania 41 and confront Rhodes, the comeback never happened.

As of now, there are no confirmed reports on Johnson’s comeback, although he is heavily rumored to feature at next year’s WWE WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia.
