Terry McLaurin start or sit: Week 16 fantasy football advice
The 4-10 Washington Commanders welcome the 9-5 Philadelphia Eagles to Landover, Maryland as 6.5-point home underdogs on Saturday. The Eagles need wins for playoff seeding and to get their offense playing more consistently as they look to make another Super Bowl run.
Facing the Commanders is a good spot to get their offense tuned up, but will the Commanders give them a run for their money? They are better than the Raiders, who the Eagles just pounded into the ground, but their record also speaks for itself. They do have their WR1 Terry McLaurin back and healthy, but is he worth starting in fantasy?
Below, we’ll go over Terry McLaurin’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 16.
Fantasy Football analysis: Commanders, WR, Terry McLaurin
McLaurin has now been back for three games since his latest injury, and he’s found the end zone twice, while seeing a wide array of targets, with 14, 6, and 4. But, in his four target game, he had 69 yards and a touchdown, so he’s getting the job done even when the targets aren’t there.
The Eagles are a tough defense, but McLaurin did put up good numbers against Denver’s strong pass defense in his first game back. The 14 targets helped, but also show you where they want to go when facing a tough defense. He’s shown enough for me to start him in the fantasy playoffs, even in a tough matchup.
