Tempo key veteran on verge of making 2026 WNBA season debut

The Toronto Tempo have gotten off to a rather solid start to the 2026 WNBA season. They are 5-5 in their inaugural season thus far. And the Tempo are on the verge of getting a boost in their lineup for their upcoming game against the Chicago Sky on Sunday in the form of veteran forward Isabelle Harrison who has been out due to injury.

Isabelle Harrison has yet to make her Tempo debut as she has been sidelined due to hand injury suffered during training camp. However, Harrison was officially upgraded to questionable for the team’s game against the Sky via the WNBA’s injury report.

Obviously nothing is definite, but all signs are pointing to Harrison being able to take the floor for the first time in a Tempo jersey for regular season play.

Harrison signed with the Tempo via free agency in the offseason. The eight-year veteran played last season with the New York Liberty. She appeared in 34 games, including one start, at a little over 10 minutes per game. She averaged 4.9 points and 2.6 rebounds with splits of 48.5 percent shooting from the field, 26.7 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 76.7 percent shooting from the free-throw line.

The No. 12 overall pick in the 2015 WNBA Draft, Harrison is the last remaining player in the league who played for the late great Pat Summit at Tennessee. She began her career with the Phoenix Mercury in 2016 and has also suited up for the Dallas Wings and Sky.

The Tempo have dealt with injuries to begin their season as standout rookie Kiki Rice is currently sidelined due to an ankle injury and Temi Fagbenle has also not yet made her Tempo debut.
