Super Bowl commercials 2026: Tony Gonzalez, Delanie Walker on prostate cancer awareness

The stigma is important to break.

This is what some of the greatest tight ends in NFL history are out to help fight against. When it comes to prostate cancer, the second-leading cause of cancer deaths for men in the United States, getting tested as early as possible is as important as it gets. The problem is that the stigma that exists around getting tested lends to a lot of men choosing to avoid it.

Tony Gonzalez, Delanie Walker, and several others are all about trying to loosen things up in this sense. Gonzalez and Walker are featured in a Super Bowl campaign with Novartis, “Relax, it’s a Blood Test”, that will air during Super Bowl LX. The likes of Greg Olsen, Rob Gronkowski, George Kittle, Vernon Davis, Colby Parkinson, and Bruce Arians are all part of the crew as well.

Within the campaign the players and Arians — who survived prostate cancer because it was detected early — urge men to “relax” their tight end, which is a play on the idea of it all as the test involves a prick of the finger and not what is conventionally assumed. More information can be learned at RelaxItsABloodTest.com.

Gonzalez and Walker both spoke to SB Nation about their passion behind the campaign and how far the tight end position has come in modern times. To be clear the position has come so far in terms of its actual usage on the football field, but particularly in notoriety was the point. Consider that there is an entire campaign comprised of tight ends past and present airing in the Super Bowl. Tight ends are cool. Way cooler than they used to be.

And the coolest part about them? They are using their new street cred for good and helping fight against prostate cancer by raising awareness for testing.
