Suns rumors: Are Jalen Green’s days numbered after Miles Bridges trade?

The Phoenix Suns may not be done reshaping their roster after acquiring Miles Bridges in a blockbuster trade with the Charlotte Hornets. Following news of the deal, ClutchPoints Senior NBA Reporter Brett Siegel suggested on his X account that the trade could signal uncertainty surrounding Jalen Green’s long-term future with the franchise.

“After this Miles Bridges trade and opening up access to their draft picks for the next four years in other trades, I’m starting to believe Jalen Green’s long-term future isn’t in Phoenix. This is a team that is positioning itself for a big move, whether it’s now or in months.”

Green arrived in Phoenix during the 2025 offseason as part of the blockbuster trade that sent Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets. He was joined by veteran forward Dillon Brooks in the deal, giving the Suns a younger core to build around.

Although injuries limited Green during his first season in Phoenix, he remained productive when healthy. He averaged 17.8 points and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 42% from the field across 32 regular-season appearances.

Green elevated his play during the postseason after the Suns advanced through the Play-In Tournament by defeating the Golden State Warriors following an opening-game loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. In Phoenix’s first-round playoff series against the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder, Green averaged 21.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 37.8 minutes per game.

Whether Green ultimately remains with the Suns is unknown, but Siegel’s comments suggest Phoenix could continue exploring significant roster moves after completing the Miles Bridges trade.
