The Seattle Storm will look a bit different next season, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be competitive. After losing Nneka Ogwumike to the Los Angeles Sparks, they are expecting to sign Natisha Hiedeman, according to WNBA insider Khristina Williams.

“Sources: Natisha Hiedeman is not expected to re-sign with the Minnesota Lynx. Hiedeman is expected to sign with the Seattle Storm,” Williams wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Williams was a key piece for the Lynx the past two seasons, coming off the bench as a backup guard. She averaged 9.1 points and 2.8 assists last season.

This is just one of the several moves the Storm may make during free agency, as there are set to be more departures from the team. Skylar Diggins is not expected to return to the team next season, and reports have said that she is in talks with the Chicago Sky.

Gabby Williams is also not expected to return to the team, which leaves them in a space of having to add as much talent as they can. The good news is that Dominique Malonga, who was one of the better rookies in the league last season, should take a jump in her second year.

Sonia Raman will be leading the Storm this season after being hired as head coach in October 2025, as she spent last season as an assistant with the New York Liberty, and before that, was an assistant with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Hiedeman should play a big role for the Storm this season, and the other pieces added to the team should elevate her game.
