Stephen Curry’s top-ranked jersey sales prove Warriors star is as popular as ever

On Sunday evening, the Golden State Warriors closed out their 2025-26 regular season with a road loss at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers. Stephen Curry and the starters played limited minutes in this one, and the two teams will coincidentally square off once again on Wednesday night in the play-in tournament, with the loser’s season coming to an end.

Recently, the NBA released its jersey sale figures for this season, and despite his injury concerns and the overall sinking of the Warriors’ dynasty, Curry still was ranked at number one in the league, ahead of Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic, per Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints on X, formerly Twitter.

It’s a clear testament to the enduring popularity of Curry, who has been one of the faces of the league for well over a decade now, having spent his entire future Hall of Fame career with the Warriors.

While Curry may be as popular as ever with the fans, the Warriors have done a poor job of maximizing the twilight years of his career, heading into the play-in tournament for the third consecutive year this season, this time having to win two road elimination games in order to earn a series against the reigning NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder, in which they would be massive underdogs.

The Warriors will have some assets at their disposal this summer to try to get better, including their own draft picks for the foreseeable future, as well as some lucrative expiring contracts, including that of trade acquisition Kristaps Porzingis.

This offseason might be Golden State’s last true chance to give Curry a viable supporting cast and try to re-enter the mix as contenders out West.
