Saints’ Kellen Moore gives Alvin Kamara flowers amid uncertain future
As there have been rumors surrounding New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara, some that have included him retiring or him not being on the team for the upcoming season, it appears his future with the franchise is uncertain. With the Saints coming off the 2026 NFL Draft, head coach Kellen Moore would speak at rookie minicamp about the situation with Kamara.
There’s no denying that Moore didn’t want to delve too deep into the situation with Kamara, though he would express how much the 30-year-0ld means to New Orleans.
“I think just evaluating the roster as a whole. We’re always trying to acquire as many different talented players as we can; this rookie process will be a part of it. Obviously, we know what Alvin [Kamara] means to us,” Moore said. “We love Alvin. We’ve gone through this process, and we’ll continue to go through it,” Moore said, via Boot Krewe Media.

Especially when the Saints added running back Travis Etienne Jr., some thought that could be a signal of the Saints’ plans with Kamara, but nothing has been set in stone. Moore would be asked about whether anything has changed with Kamara:
“We’re just continuing to evaluate this roster,” Moore said, via NOLA.com. “So much of our time this last week have been building up for this rookie camp and getting these guys as many opportunities as we can.
“That’s really been the focus: getting this thing dialed up and ready. We’re excited about these young guys, and we’ll continue to work through this roster,” Moore continued.
At any rate, it remains to be seen if Kamara will play his 10th season with the Saints.
