Rockies place Sugano, 36, on IL with back spasms
Veteran right-hander Tomoyuki Sugano, 36, who was slated to start on Saturday night for Colorado against the San Francisco Giants at Coors Field, was instead placed on the 15-day injured list due to back spasms by the Rockies.
